"After 8 ½ years of marriage and adopting two children, my husband and I were finally able to conceive. Like many expectant parents, we wanted the birth to go smoothly and be as natural as possible. So we decided to have Sherri be our doula, and we are SO glad we did. Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control several things about our birth did not go as planned: The hospital we had planned on delivering in was full, so we were sent to a different hospital. With so many things that did not go as planned, it was very reassuring to have Sherri there with us. She did a wonderful job of being supportive. Throughout my labor she was helpful with suggesting different positions and movements to help labor progress and helped with massage and other relaxation techniques to make me more comfortable during contractions. It was also so helpful to have her there to help me during the times when my husband really needed to rest. When and if my husband and I are able to conceive again, we will definitely want to have Sherri there to help us".

" My husband, Kevin, and I just had our firstborn, Chloe, this past March. When I was pregnant, I did a lot of reading about labor and birth and wanted to try to have as natural a birth as possible. Since I was delivering at a hospital, I wanted to have the support and encouragement of a doula or midwife, since there were a lot of things I knew I wasn't going to be prepared for. Sherri was so thoughtful and met with us several times before the birth to talk through our preferences so that we would be well-informed. When I started going into labor, Sherri came over to our house and helped us labor at home as much as possible, giving me massages, encouraging me, helping me try different relaxation techniques and positions. She was by our side through the whole thing, and helped Kevin coach me through the labor. Without her help, I don't think we would have had the satisfying birth experience that we did".
